Create and share discount codes
Just need the quick answer?
See the short version in the FAQDiscount codes are a great way to reward repeat customers, run a seasonal sale, or partner with another local business. You can create as many codes as you want, restrict each one to specific classes, categories, or add-ons, and set a maximum number of uses so you never give away more than you intended. You can also generate a whole batch of codes at once, apply a code while registering someone manually, and check each code's performance and expiration status right from the list.
Create a discount code
- Open Marketing from your dashboard and choose Discount codes.
- Click New code and pick a code your customers will type at checkout (for example, SPRING25).
- Choose a percentage off or a flat dollar amount.
- Turn on Single-use if the code should only ever be redeemed once — useful for a code you're handing to one person, even if it ends up getting shared further.
- Optionally restrict the code to specific classes, categories, add-ons, or first-time customers only.
- Use Limit to First N Items if someone could redeem the code against several items in one order (for example, multiple tickets) and you only want it to discount a set number of them.
- Set an expiration date and a maximum number of redemptions if you want hard limits.
- Save. The code is live immediately.
Generate a batch of codes at once
- From the Discount codes page, click Bulk generate.
- Set a shared prefix, how many codes you need, and the discount type, value, and optional expiration they'll all share.
- Generate — you'll get a list of unique codes, each carrying the same terms.
- Hand out one code per person for things like a promo giveaway, an event handout, or a batch of partner codes.
Smart ways to use codes
- Give a thank-you code to anyone who attends 3+ classes — pair it with a personal email for the most impact.
- Run a 48-hour flash sale to fill up a class that's underbooked.
- Hand a partner business their own code (for example, COFFEESHOP10) so you can see exactly how many sign-ups they drive.
- Use first-time-customer codes in your bulk welcome email to nudge browsers into their first sign-up.
- Apply a code yourself when you manually register an attendee (a walk-in or a phone sign-up) — it discounts the registration the same way it would at checkout.
Track performance and expirations
- Each code in your list shows its redemption count and total savings at a glance, so you can see what's working without opening it.
- Click any code to see every order it was used on, including the customer and class.
- You'll get an in-app alert — and an email, if enabled — a few days before an active code is about to expire, so you can extend it or let it run out on purpose.
- Sort or filter the list by expiring-soon codes to review everything that needs attention at once.
- Pause or delete a code anytime — existing orders aren't affected.
