For Attendees

Not at all! Most classes are designed for beginners. Your instructor will guide you through every step. If a class requires prior experience, it'll be clearly noted in the description.

It depends on the class! Some instructors provide all the supplies and materials, while others ask you to bring a few things of your own. Check the class description for what's included and what to bring, and keep an eye out for your reminder email — your instructor will share any specific details there. When in doubt, comfortable clothes are always a good idea.

Classes are more fun with friends! Guest policies vary by class and instructor, and everyone attending will usually need their own ticket. Check the class description for details, and reach out to the instructor if you're unsure — some offer group discounts, so it's worth asking!

Each instructor sets their own cancellation policy, which you'll find on the class page before you book. Some instructors offer a cash refund, some offer a class credit you can spend on a future class, and some offer both — it's up to them. To cancel or ask about your options, reach out to the instructor directly through your order confirmation or your attendee portal.

You'll automatically get an email and SMS as soon as your instructor makes the change, with one-tap links to confirm the new time or request a refund or class credit. Reminder messages and synced calendar events are updated for you.

It varies by class! Most classes let you take home your creations. Check the class description for specific details about what you'll make and take home.

Many classes welcome kids! Look for the age recommendation in the class description. Some instructors offer special kids-only or family-friendly classes. When in doubt, message the instructor to ask.

The attendee portal is your personal hub for everything related to your bookings. Once you open a link from your confirmation or reminder email you can: view your full class history and download receipts for any booking; request to reschedule a class (your instructor will be notified); send a message directly to your instructor; manage your profile and update your email or phone number; and see or redeem any class credits in your account. You don't need to create a separate account or remember a password — just use the link sent to your email.

For Instructors

Head to the Sign Up page, enter your email, and we'll send you a one-time magic code to log in — no password to remember. Go to Sign Up

After signing up, head to your dashboard and click 'Create Class'. Fill in the details like title, date, location, and price. Add a cover photo and description, then publish! Your signup page will be ready to share.

We use Stripe Connect to send your earnings straight to your bank account — Stripe holds the banking details, not us. Once you're connected, attendees pay you directly when they book and Stripe deposits the funds on your chosen payout schedule.

Yes! You're in complete control of your pricing. Set different prices for different classes, offer early bird specials, or create discount codes for returning attendees.

Each class gets a unique signup page link that you can share via social media, email, or your website. Attendees fill out your custom form and can pay online.

Your classes appear on our marketplace where attendees can browse by location. You also get a personalized class page link to share on social media, your website, or email. Many instructors build their following by sharing their link on Instagram!

Yes — set a max capacity when creating or editing a class. Once it's full, a waitlist opens and, as seats free up, we invite the next person in line to claim the spot. You can also promote people from the waitlist yourself at any time.

Open the class, click Reschedule (or change status to Cancelled), and pick how to handle paid attendees — cash refund, class credit, or both. Classy Studio emails and texts everyone, updates reminders and synced calendars, and tracks responses on the class page.

Yes! You can create recurring class series (weekly, biweekly, or monthly) when setting up a new class. You can also duplicate any existing class to quickly create similar ones. All classes in a series can be edited or archived together.

Yes — use the Bulk Messages feature in the Marketing tab. You can send an email, an SMS, or both, to all your customers or a filtered audience (for example, everyone who attended a specific class in the last 90 days). Every send respects opt-outs automatically: emails include a one-click unsubscribe link and SMS recipients can reply STOP at any time.

A Season Pass sells 2–12 specific public classes together for one flat upfront price and enrolls the buyer in every included class after payment. A prepaid package sells session credits that customers apply to eligible classes one booking at a time, with an optional expiry. Season Passes are ideal for a defined series such as an October–December program; packages are more flexible when customers can choose which sessions to attend.

Go to the class detail page, open the Attendees tab, find the original attendee, then click Add guest on their row (the same action is on the ⋯ menu in Contacts). It's only available on a confirmed registration. Only a first and last name are required — leave email and phone blank if the guest doesn't have their own, and tick “This guest is a minor” for a child. The new person is linked to that booking and shows up together on the roster, check-in list, and seating chart. A guest takes a spot, so the class needs room, and they only get their own confirmation email if you gave them an address. On a paid class you also choose what happens with the money: add them free (the default), add them unpaid and get a short payment link just for that guest, or mark them as paid. The guest's link charges for that guest alone through your usual Stripe or Square checkout and leaves the original booking's payment untouched — re-copy it any time with Copy payment link, or use Mark as paid if they hand you cash. Guests entered at the same time as the original booking stay on that booking's single link; only a guest added later gets one of their own. Removing a guest who paid their own link doesn't refund them automatically — use the refund button on their row in the Attendees tab or Contacts if you owe the money back. If they're a completely separate sign-up rather than a guest of someone already booked, add them from Contacts with Add Attendee instead — ideal for walk-ins or phone bookings.

Yes — the seating designer lets you draw your room once, with tables, chairs, and labels, then save it as a reusable seat map. Attach the map to any class and attendees pick their exact seat at checkout. You can see and manage every seat assignment from the class roster.

Yes — add your own questions to the signup form: short or long text, dropdowns, checkboxes, email, or phone fields. You can make questions required, adjust which ones appear for a specific class, and see every answer on the attendee's booking details or in a CSV export.

Open Settings › Team and click Invite team member. Choose a role — Instructor or Assistant — to control exactly what they can see and do, and they'll get an email invite to join with their own login, so you never have to share a password. You can change roles or remove team members at any time.

Every confirmed attendee gets a QR code with their booking confirmation. On class day, open the check-in screen to scan codes or tap a name to check someone in manually — attendance updates in real time. You can also add a class host, who gets a link that opens the check-in screen directly without full account access.

Upload PDFs, recipes, templates, or other documents to your file library, then attach them to a class. Everyone who books gets access automatically through their attendee portal — including anyone who booked before you attached the file — and downloads stay available after the class ends.

Yes. Add them from Contacts with just a first and last name — email and phone are optional — and choose “Add unpaid & get a payment link”. They go on the roster straight away and hold their spot, and you get a short link to text or read out. When they open it they pay for that exact registration through your usual Stripe or Square checkout, and their row flips to paid. The link never expires while they're unpaid, and re-copying it gives you the same link. If they pay you cash instead, use Mark as paid on their row.

Payments & Policies

Yes — card payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, and your card details are encrypted in transit. We never see or store your full card number on our servers.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Apple Pay and Google Pay also work at checkout where supported by the attendee's device and browser.

Connect your bank account through Stripe in the Payments section of your dashboard. Once connected, you can price classes and accept card payments automatically.

Read the full guide: Set up payouts with Stripe

Pro charges 1.9% and Business charges 1% per paid transaction. On the Free plan the 2.9% fee carries a minimum ($1.00 for class registrations; $0.30 for add-on purchases). Free transactions aren't charged. You can optionally pass this fee to your customers at checkout instead of paying it yourself. Standard payment processing fees are separate and deducted by your processor — Stripe (~2.9% + 30¢) or Square (~2.9% + 30¢), whichever you use — never both.

Yes — discount codes are included on every plan (Free, Pro, and Business). Create percentage or fixed-amount codes from the Marketing tab, restrict them to specific classes, and set expirations or usage limits.

Refund any paid attendee (or a whole class) from the dashboard, and choose between a cash refund through Stripe or a class credit they can spend later.

Yes! You'll receive an email confirmation with receipt details immediately after booking. You can also view your purchase history in your account portal.

We take privacy seriously. We only collect information needed to provide our service and never sell your data. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Yes — connect your Square account from Settings › Integrations and set it as your active processor, and new bookings are charged through Square checkout with payouts landing in your Square account. Refunds work exactly the way they do with Stripe, and past payments keep working through the processor that originally handled them.

Read the full guide: Accept payments with Square

If an attendee's bank reverses a charge, we flag the dispute on your Payments dashboard with its amount, status, and evidence deadline. Open it to see the original booking and respond with evidence — like your cancellation policy, messages with the attendee, or check-in records — before the deadline. The disputed amount is held by your payment processor until the bank makes a decision.

Yes — create gift cards from the Marketing tab and they're immediately available for purchase on your public page. Buyers receive a unique code by email to share with the recipient, who enters it at checkout. Any unused balance is saved automatically and can be spent on future bookings.

Technical Help

Make sure your class is marked as 'Active'. Inactive classes won't appear on public signup pages. Also check that the class date hasn't passed.

Yes — custom branding (your colors, logo, and storefront styling) is included on the Pro and Business plans, and the Business plan additionally removes Classy Studio branding from your public pages. You can manage all of this from Settings in your dashboard.

Read the full guide: Build your public page

We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and card payments are handled by Stripe (a PCI-compliant processor) so we never store card numbers on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for the full details on how we handle your information.

Here's a quick breakdown by plan: • Free — Email confirmations and reminders are included. Every class you create automatically sends a booking confirmation and pre-class reminder to attendees at no extra cost. • Pro — Adds SMS reminders and automated message sequences. Attendees who provide a phone number at signup receive text message reminders in addition to email, and you can set up drip-style follow-ups triggered by signup, attendance, or a custom schedule. • Business — Adds the abandoned-checkout dashboard, which shows you who started the booking flow but didn't finish, so you can follow up manually or via a sequence. All plans include messaging so you can always reach attendees directly.

Abandoned-checkout recovery emails are automatic on every plan — there is nothing to turn on. When an attendee enters an email address, starts a signup, and does not complete checkout, they receive a recovery email about 1 hour later and another about 24 hours later. Each email includes a link to resume their signup and finish registering. We do not send these emails when no email was entered, checkout was completed, or the class has already started. The Business-only abandoned-checkout dashboard is separate from this automatic attendee reminder flow. It gives instructors a place to view abandoned signups and follow up manually or through a message sequence.

First check that reminders are enabled for the class — open the class, go to Settings, and confirm the reminder toggles are on. For email, check that your Resend sending domain is verified under Settings › Notifications. For SMS, make sure you're on the Pro plan or higher (SMS reminders are not available on the Free plan) and that the attendee's phone number was captured at signup. If everything looks correct and reminders still aren't sending, contact our support team with the class name and date.

Go to Settings › Integrations and click Connect Google Calendar. You'll be taken to Google's sign-in flow to authorize access. Once connected, any class you create or reschedule will automatically appear on your Google Calendar, and attendees who sync their own calendars will see updates in real time. You can disconnect at any time from the same Integrations page.

Open any class from your dashboard and look for the Embed option in the Share menu. Copy the iframe snippet and paste it into your website's HTML. The embedded widget loads your live class details — title, date, price, and a Book button — and stays in sync automatically. Embedding works on any website that allows custom HTML, including Squarespace, Wix, and WordPress.

Removing Classy Studio branding is a Business plan feature. Once you're on Business, go to Settings › Public Page and toggle off "Show Classy Studio branding." Your storefront, class pages, and confirmation emails will no longer display the Classy Studio badge or footer. Custom colors, logo, and fonts (available on Pro and above) are separate and stay active on all paid plans.

A payout that stays pending longer than expected usually means Stripe needs more information to verify your account. Log in to your Stripe dashboard and check for any outstanding verification requests or action items under the Payouts section. Common causes include a missing tax ID, an unverified bank account, or a Stripe-triggered identity check. Once you complete any outstanding steps, payouts typically resume within 1–2 business days. If the issue persists, contact Stripe support directly — they have access to your account details.

Open Settings › Emails and click Customize email design to put your brand on every automated email. You can upload your logo, choose an accent color, edit the footer text, and toggle social links — all with a live preview as you go. Once you save, every confirmation, reminder, and reschedule notice uses your design.

Read the full guide: Customize your email templates

Message sequences let you build a series of emails or texts that send automatically — for example, a welcome note at booking, a reminder before class, and a thank-you with a rebooking link afterwards. Create one from Marketing › Message sequences, set each message's trigger, and toggle it Active. Message sequences are included on the Pro plan and above.
